Materials for additive manufacturing
BASF New Business GmbH (BNB) has acquired all shares of Advanc3D Materials GmbH in Hamburg and its cooperation partner Setup Performance SAS in Lyon. Both companies will be integrated into the organization of BNB’s subsidiary BASF 3D Printing Solutions GmbH (B3DPS). The acquisition is an important step for BASF in expanding its 3D printing business. ADVANC3D Materials will get the opportunity to expand its portfolio and increase its production capacity. “We are happy to become part of BASF. This allows us to expand and develop new formulations for industrial additive manufacturing for our customers worldwide, “explains Francois Minec, Managing Director of ADVANC3D.
ADVANC3D Materials is already present in the market with a wide range of products and has built up a comprehensive market and application expertise. Due to the high growth and the very good future prospects, an investor was looked for who fits well to the core business. Because of its strong commitment to 3D printing, BASF is the ideal partner for achieving synergies in the short term and efficiently processing the market for 3D printing materials.
